The Canadian Society for Eosinophilic Disorders (CSED) aims to help Canadians living with Eosinophilic Disorders such as Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders (EGIDs) and the increasingly prevalent Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE). CSED is planning to be involved in raising awareness, advocating, fundraising, and supporting patients and their families.

National Eosinophil Awareness Week (NEAW)

CSED 13 May 2012 -The third week of May has been designated as National Eosinophil Awareness Week (NEAW) in the USA by the US House of Representatives since 2007.  APFED launched a national campaign to expand awareness and educate both the general public and medical communities about eosinophil associated disorders.  The National Eosinophil Awareness Week will run from 13 - 19 May 2012.  Please visit the APFED NEAW page for information and resources.

APFED Announces Approval of ICD9 Codes for Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders

APFED Press Release - 17 July 2008:  Texas -- APFED announced today that ICD-9-CM codes have been approved for Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders, EGID, by the National Counsel for Health Statistics, NCHS. APFED submitted its proposal to the NCHS in September 2007 for four diseases: eosinophilic esophagitis, gastritis, gastroenteritis and colitis, all types of EGIDs.


APFED Names Ricky Springer as 2011-2012 Education Ambassador
